This is one of the original blocks on the boom. the discolored areas on the left are actually pretty severe pits that went almost all the way through thte aliminium. These blocks were kinda flimsy to start with, (especially compared to the garhauer 60's I replaced them with) the corrosion made failure a question of when rather than if.
